THE LOVE OF LEARNING

Jolly Tots is an educational pre-school that focuses on the holistic development of children. We place strong emphasis on learning through play and using the LOVE TO LEARN approach. As children are naturally curious, they will actively explore the environment around them. With strong healthy bodies we shape strong healthy minds.

The importance of pre-school

Pre-school is important because it develops a strong foundation for your child’s scholastic future. By actively stimulating the network of neurons in a child’s brain and exposing the child to every area of learning, both cognitively and emotionally, we prepare a strong foundation for your child to go to big school. The first three years of your child’s life is, paediatrically proven, the period where the most neuron growth occurs therefore further emphasising the importance of early exposure to pre-school. Together the team fosters a safe and loving farm environment for your child so that they can reach their full potential.

The MEALS

Meals are specially catered. The Children have a cooked lunch of vegetables, starch and protein. They also have two snacks for the day. Mid-morning and afternoon snack

Of fruit, muffins, health biscuits, date balls. The school has a Winter and Summer Menu. We cater for Halaal and special dietary needs.

Assisted Learning Center

Our school is growing as an assisted learning centre whereby we can work individually in small classes with children who have been diagnosed with ADD and ADHD as well as global developmental delay. Through equine therapy once a month, children grow in self-esteem, gross motor skills, and learn to interact with farm animals on the premises.

With water therapy and playtime in our indoor heated aquatic centre we assist non-neurotypical children in development. Working with instructors of over 20 years of experience, children are taught water safety and confidence in the pool.

All the activities are carefully structured around your child’s specific learning needs to focus on your child's well-being and holistic development. Our teachers are trained to assist in the various learning areas which include:

Gross motor and Fine motor Skills
Literacy and Numeracy Skills
Communication and Auditory Skills
Life Skills
Emotional and Social Development
Perceptual and Visual Integration Skills

Classes Offered

All our teachers are professionally qualified with up-to-date CPR and First Aid Level 1 as well as a current police clearance certificate. Our teachers are also registered with SACE.

Classes offered: 1-2 years [toddlers] (15 children in class with a shared assistant)

Classes offered: 3-4 years [RRR] (15 children in class)

Classes offered: 4-5 years [grade RR] (15 children in class)

Classes offered: 5-6 Grade R – the CAPS and IEB curriculum is followed.

Aftercare centre is available from 13h30 to 17h30 which includes lunch, homework supervision and a swimming lesson. Fee: R1 200 per month
